Getting involved is what makes college a memorable experience and it also gives students the opportunity to get more hands-on experience within their major. Our twenty-four clubs and organizations work with alumni and industry , providing valuable information and building contacts for the future. Each club is represented within the Student Executive Council (SEC). SEC is a valuable outlet for the college, allowing the clubs and their members to become more active and involved College and University wide. SEC is run like any club or organization - with officers and an advisor. Dr. Dennis Nef, Associate Dean, is the advisor and a student Senator is elected each year by the CAST student body to represent to students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in the Associated Students, Inc. Through SEC, the Red Wave Gazette is published, a monthly student publication. The Gazette is run by a student editor, the same person that holds the office of Public Relations. The Gazette includes article submissions from all of the clubs and important dates and activities within the College and University. |
